5.0 out of 5 stars A mine of useful information.
An informative and enlightening compendium from published authors – and all for less than the price of an average coffee. Brilliant fun. I was entertained by the stories and anecdotes in each of the authors’ publishing journeys, and it was interesting to see the various walks of life that culminated with the same thing: writing.

This book is not a manual of how to write; more of an informal chat between friends. Reading it felt heart-warming, like a twenty-six person group hug. If you feel lonely on your writing journey, or simply wonder ‘how it is’ for someone else, read it. You’ll be glad you did.

Anytime you find a compilation of experiences on any subject, you have found a treasure chest. As someone interested in writing, if you glean just one bit of advice that assists you in your endeavors or allows you to avoid a pitfall, then the read was valuable. That is the sole purpose of this book — to learn from others so you do not have to reinvent the wheel.

The book is written in casual manner, from the heart, by authors as if they were sitting with you in conversation sharing their personal thoughts. It should not be taken as a college textbook nor searched for typos. I believe that defeats the book’s overall intent.

Many of these authors are friends and I enjoyed reading their views to questions and learning from their experiences. The publishing industry is swiftly changing and I find that all information about the writing world is beneficial.
